In this guide:
The storyboard fully scripts everything in your outline — e.g. video scripts, activities with learner feedback, and handouts. The output is text only; visuals are not generated but Epiphany includes recommendations to guide production.
You can make direct edits to any part of the storyboard before exporting.
You can also use chat to make changes — send a message describing what you want to update, and Epiphany will surface proposed changes inline for you to review. Accept or undo each one before it's committed.
If you edit your outline after generating a storyboard, the storyboard updates automatically to reflect it. It works the other way too: when you accept a change in the storyboard, your outline updates automatically to match. Check version history if you want to see what changed.
When you're ready, export in Excel, PDF, Word, or PowerPoint (for slide-based content) and take it into your authoring tool to build.
Make changes in Epiphany, not in your export files
It's tempting to make final tweaks directly in an exported file, but any changes made outside Epiphany won't be reflected in the platform. Making edits in the storyboard directly means you always have one up-to-date version with a full edit history — rather than multiple files with changes scattered across them.
Use production notes to brief your course builders
Use the production notes field to leave directions for whoever is building the course in the authoring tool — for example, "make this an accordion" or "use a branching scenario here." This keeps all build instructions in one place alongside the script.
