Many of you have told us a lot about how your teams design day to day, and where you'd like Epiphany to fit more closely into that process. This update is a set of changes shaped by your feedback.

Set authoring constraints in the brief

Until now, you had to wait until the outline to talk through instructional strategy. But many of you flagged that you sometimes come in with constraints up front, driven by your authoring tool or your team's capacity. So we've brought this forward: you can now set constraints such as "no video" directly in the brief-creation chat, when asked about delivery mode. They're captured in a new Constraints field in the design brief.

More content types at the outline

For online self-paced courses, you can now determine instructional strategy at a more granular level at the outline stage. Alongside the existing Paragraph and Video, we've added three new content types:

We’ll be expanding this list, so please reach out if there are other formats you'd like to see.

Add source documents at any stage

You can now add source documents at any point in the design process, not just up to the brief stage. Say your subject matter expert reviews the outline and shares a few extra case studies to work in: you can upload them there and then, and update the outline to reflect them.

Partial exports

You no longer have to export the whole course. Export just the brief, outline, storyboard, or a single section of the storyboard.
